ACCOUNTABILITY- A Christian Perspective

Praise the Name of Jesus! I decided to start this blog site to clear up some truths about what a Christian is and what we aren't. I am not the author of this blog alone, By "faith" I believe that Chrsit has helped me to spread whatever good may come out of who reads this. I live by faith, charity, and love like the Word of God calls. These are my only three principles I would like to be known for. Today I will speak on being accountable for one another as the bible calls us to be. I pray(faith), by me writing this(Love), that someone is  blessed(charity) spiritually as well as physically. Thanks be unto GOD.

The definition of a Christian means Christ-like or follower of Christ. Now that means our daily walk and talk should resemble that of Christ. From waking up and praying, thanking, worshipping, and blessing God to helping charities, shelters, and building up his Kingdom through street witnessing and sharing of testimonies. Now ask yourself if you are truly living your life for him? What does this mean? It's as simple as those four letter words we said as children, WWJD. What would Jesus do?

We make excuses for ourselves a lot because we try to misinterpret the Bible for own benefit. But we must remember the bible tells us in Hosea 4:6 "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the aw of thy God, I will also forget thy children." ----- Knowing the Bible is good but understanding it is even better. The only way to understand the bible is not just by reading it but by knowing God. How do we know God then? Through his manifestation in his son Jesus Christ. So knowing this ask yourself would Jesus go to the club? would Jesus talk about lustful things?, would Jesus listen to this type of music?, would Jesus wear this type of clothing?, would Jesus watch this show or movie?, would Jesus support this idea that is in my mind right now?, would Jesus think the way I am thinking now? There are many other things we should ask ourselves would Jesus do because it only makes us more "accountable" for our actions.

Accountability is not just for ourselves, however, it is for every soul out there God has put around us. The story of Lazarus and the rich man depicts this (Luke 16:19). Even after death, while in,hell the rich man desired to save his family from eternal damnation because of how terrible hell was. Hell is a very scary place. Imagine burning over, and over, and over again or being eaten by worms, stabbed in the heart, surrounded by snakes, drowning, buried alive, or whatever your worst fears maybe FOREVER. If that doesn't scare you then think about your loved ones, would you want that for them? As Christians, we should strive to help our family members come to the knowledge of Christ. When we see sin, don't look away, address it! Because in death God will hold everyone of us accountable for those we witnessed to and those we didn't. Your mother, father, brothers, sisters, friends, associates, and enemies are all looking for that light in you. Live your life in accordance to the will of God. Pray, fast, read your bibles, witness, minister to the helpless, and walk upright before him. and walk upright before him.

This is not a sermon, this is not a condemnation or lecture. This is me being accountable for the souls God has put around me. In writing this, I become more accountable for my own actions and thoughts. I am nowhere near perfect and many of these things that need to be addressed from this note, are still in process in my life. I readily accept constructive criticism because even the apostles were rebuked by Christ, so we should all be willing to accept criticism for the glory of God to shine forth from us. We should not sit idle and say "God knows my heart" when we ourselves know our own sinful desires. Starting today, take action for God. Be accountable for yourself and family. Not many will like you and many may say you are being goody-goody and even the very so called "christians" may say you are being too extreme, but stand firm for God and he will stand firm for you. Do not beat people over the head with scriptures or bible jargons\cliches, but come to them with the love of God. Do not judge, only give scripture based answers and if you don't know, then you don't. Lean not on your own understanding, seek counsel from other true "Christians in God" because the devil is a lot smarter than you and will twist your thoughts if you are not careful.

Lastly remember a Christian isn't someone who goes to church, reads their bible, prays, ministers, belongs to several ministries, feeds the poor, or gives their tithes; A CHRISTIAN IS SOMEONE WHO HAS A RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST EVERYDAY. There are a lot of churches but not a lot of Christians.

-For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk n them-(Ephesians 8-10)

I pray for salvation for all those who may read this.
